Website Development

The majority of the web pages developed by VITL use WordPress. WordPress is a very flexible CMS (Content Management System) which provides you with a good open platform to develop your website on. Quick and easy to style, and easy for page administrators to log in and update or add content.

For more complex tasks or if you find you are limited by WordPress, VITL can build any plug in to satisfy your specific needs. There are many more complex CMS’s available, however choosing one is often not a simple task. We can offer advice and support to determine which one suits you best then develop it for you.

VITL provides web pages which are quick and easy to style and edit, making it simple for page administrators to log in and update or add content.

VITL also builds highly customised systems from the initial concept right through to the finished product for clients who require a tailor made system. This is often done for software that does a specific task without all the overheads of a CMS, and is used for custom software solutions. Such customized solutions offer increased efficiency therefore reducing the costs of running your business.

Solutions constructed include:

  • Processing of over 7000 customers fuel cards and about a million dollars monthly (from 2 major providers) to create records and direct receipt files allowing the information to be imported into online banking systems. This process turned a week long pain staking job into a 5 minute click of a button, and reduced errors significantly.
  • Recording specific stock levels of food products therefore allowing product expiry dates and specific quantities at different locations to be logged.  Previously, limitations in the existing ledger software used (MYOB) did not allow this information to be logged. The solution provided to the client has the added benefit of remote processing so users can process goods from their mobile phones onsite at the storage location.
  • Custom hand held media control for public media (audio) presentations. An “in car MP3 player” was developed which can be controlled by a mobile phone.  This mobile phone can be connected to a wireless network directly to the car, or an internet connection to the car. Mobile readout displays real time track position, and slider bar like time advance, editable play list and many more features. The controller for the PC is also designed by VITL which sends live readout to the PC for vehicle status monitoring on the mobile device and powered up and down the PC as needed required.
